I really like how stuff as simple as a functional Notepad or the ability to move windows around made it into this Unity game. I really like this :3
I also really like the CRT monitor effect that you implemented, though I kinda wish there was a way to disable the filter for some people who might want to see stuff better.
Its also crazy how the game itself can tell what your current timezone is, thats really impressive too :0
[Sadly I cannot upload images for some reason, I wanted to send a screenshot where I have something that I wrote in the Notepad accompanied by 2 cat photos. But ig ill share it later]
I am somewhat reminded of the first resident evil when you would have to get on the computer. Use to really creep me out as a kid .... The sound effects are the highlight for me. not only cause of the creep factor but I like the sound of the keyboard.
Really cool - I loved the sound effects and the simple style of the puzzle. It didn't feel like a drag like some horror games do and I would love to see more games created like this :)
I like the presentation and the solid OS gameplay! the controls felt great and the analogue feel to it all was on point 👌.
I also really liked that the minigames weren't too long, too hard or too punishing, a lot of devs fall in the trap of making the continuation conditions too difficult, making it feel like a chore to continue the story, causing players to quit, but this didn't happen here!
The only thing I didn't like was the ending xD, I feel like all that suspense got thrown out by a pair of red circles and a cheesy voice thanking you before killing you. I would have liked to see a little more happening in the room to the right.
But yeah, time probably caught up to that part of development, it's still a complete, and great game! :)
I honestly really liked the game and the story behind it was dope af. Reminds me of those horror stories on r/nosleep about people being blackmailed online and forced to do dark things.
I feel as if the ending wasn't the strongest execution when it came to the overall tone and atmosphere of the game. However, for Scream Jam 2023, you had one of the best game developed in the timeframe allowed. Overall, a dope game.
The game surprised me in many ways - some parts were creepy, some highly immersive and some not in my field of interest, but overall a solid story!
"Welcome To The Game" is one of my favorite, it literally changed the way many view horror and to see a game like this warms my heart. The interactions are very personal. The visual style, sound design and atmosphere truly elevated the plot. I was not a huge fan of that "specific" ending and thought it took out all the "real" aspects of being watched and feeling tensed, but that's just my opinion. In the end, I was left with a fantastic experience.
Best of luck with the future projects and the game Jam!
Thank you so much for playing my game! And escpecially thanks for all the kind words! And I have to agree, the ending was thrown in at the last day since I didn't know how to end it. but I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Great Game, especially the last cutscene, it was one the best game in this game jam, I love the way how you could integrate an old operating system to hacking, then to the final end. The best thing about the game is that the players can interact in processes like hacking or opening the vault

very short but cool! I did wish it were longer this was a really cool old web feeling of nostalgia.
Incredibly fun mechanics, super engaging. Absolutely love the sound design, it really does a lot to immerse you in using this classic computer.
Very good concept and fun to play, but it has a lot of bugs, so fix them pls

Don't you?Thank you so much for playing!
And I gotta say, really awesome video. (Just a shame the ending didn’t work out perfectly, but you didn’t miss anything)
Again thank you so much!

This game is amazing. Mindlessly hacking into government files is a amazing theme for a game
brilliant, wish it was a little longer but 7/10 the concept is appealing to my taste in games

Loved it! Good job!
Very fun! Love the ending.
Great game! I really enjoyed it. :)
Is there only one ending...? at least for the web version
Yeah, It was made in a week, So there wasn't much time to make multiple endings
(Eventhough I really wanted to and it would make the game way better)
Its a good game for being made in a week!
Thank you very much :D

Я уже узнал до вашего сообщения, но всё ровно спасибо.
I really enjoyed this game! It was quick, simple enough to grasp quickly, but completed immersed me. Perfect for a Halloween play!

Awesome video btw!
This was pretty solid, loved the old-school style of the OS and the tasks/puzzles were good too. Made a video on it.
Thank you so much for playing my game!

Cool game, could have had more spooks
